🔎 Understanding the Iowa School Performance Profile
The Iowa School Performance Profile is the state’s public “report card” for every school. It measures student achievement, growth, attendance, and graduation rates. These ratings give families a clear picture of how schools are performing and highlight areas where progress is being made.
✨ Highland’s Results Are In
We’re thrilled to share that every Highland school improved its accountability score this year — and for the first time ever, Highland High School earned a High Performing rating!
🏫 Elementary School Success
Our elementary school achieved one of the largest gains in the entire state, increasing its score by nearly 100 points in just one year — an incredible and rare accomplishment.
📚 Academic Growth Across the District
Students across Highland made major gains in math, reading, and science, proving that their dedication and hard work are paying off.
🙌 Stronger Attendance
Chronic absenteeism has decreased in every building. Our students are showing up more consistently, staying engaged, and ready to learn each day.
🎓 Future-Ready Graduates
Highland students continue to outperform the state average in earning college credit and participating in work-based learning opportunities. Our graduation rate also continues to rise, preparing students for bright futures beyond high school.
