Highland CSD

The Highland Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter earned top honors at the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge held Tuesday, October 21, at St. Ambrose University in Davenport. Competing against 78 teams from across the state, Highland’s students showcased their business savvy and teamwork, bringing home 1st, 2nd, 15th, and 30th place finishes.

The Stock Market Challenge is a fast-paced simulation that allows students to experience the excitement and strategy of real-world investing. Participants manage mock portfolios, react to market changes, and make rapid decisions under pressure — all designed to mirror the dynamic nature of the stock market.

Highland’s impressive showing demonstrates not only the students’ analytical and financial skills but also their ability to collaborate and think critically under time constraints.

The teams are now patiently waiting to hear if they have qualified to advance to Boston University for the National Stock Market Challenge, where they would compete against top teams from across the country.

Highland’s FBLA chapter continues to build a reputation for excellence in leadership, business, education, and teamwork — proving once again that Husky Pride runs strong! ❤️🖤
