Highland FFA Members Compete at Kirkwood Livestock Judging Contest
Last week was a busy and exciting time for students in the Highland FFA and agriculture program! On Tuesday evening, five students traveled to Kirkwood Community College’s Tippie Beef Center to participate in a livestock judging contest for students in grades 6–10. The event was organized by the West Branch FFA Chapter and ran incredibly smoothly.
Our students represented Highland with pride while competing against approximately 360 FFA and 4-H members from across the state.
Results:
🥇 7th Overall Individual — William Longbine
🐖 4th Overall Swine Judging Team
🐄 10th Overall Team

📢Middle School and High School Teacher Conferences – Meals Provided by PAK📢
Teacher conferences are scheduled for October 23rd and October 30th. Highland PAK is planning to provide dinner for our amazing teachers on both nights!
A big thank-you to Estela’s Fresh Mex for generously providing a meal on October 23rd. On October 30th, we’ll be serving pizza for our teachers.
