Highland families — we wanted to pass along a resource that may be helpful to you or someone you know. This morning, KCRG featured “Operation Give Birds,” a program that provides FREE Thanksgiving meal kits to families in need. Each kit includes a frozen turkey, potatoes, corn, stuffing, green beans, gravy, and rolls — enough to feed 4–6 people.
Sign-up opened at 9 AM today, and meals are limited, so if this could help your family, please take a moment to sign up as soon as possible. This season is about caring for one another.

📢 Practice Run – School Notification System
As we approach the winter season, Highland Community Schools will be conducting a practice run of our school notification system on Friday, November 14th at 12:00 p.m. (noon).
This test is for families with students in our system to ensure everyone is receiving important updates — especially weather-related alerts — correctly. If you don’t receive all three messages during Friday’s notification test, no worries — we’re here to help!
Please take a moment to review and update your contact information in PowerSchool so we can be sure you’re getting every important alert. Accurate information ensures we can reach you quickly during weather events or other urgent situations.
You may update your information in PowerSchool by logging into your account, clicking on “Contact Information,” and making any necessary updates. Our system uses the email addresses and phone numbers listed for parents and guardians.
