Our preschool students enjoyed a beautiful morning at Marr Park in Ainsworth! 🎣☀️

Students and their VIPs (Very Important People) spent the morning fishing, enjoying snacks, and having fun together on the playground. It was a wonderful morning filled with smiles, laughter, and great memories!

A big shoutout to our amazing preschool team for planning and creating such an awesome experience for our students and families.

We are proud to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of Highland’s JA Stock Market Challenge team, Paper Trails —

⭐ Austin Rodriguez
⭐ Brayden Zywiec

Last fall, Paper Trails earned 🥇 1st Place at their regional competition! Based on that achievement, the team submitted a presentation to JA USA and has now been selected as a finalist to compete at the prestigious JA National Stock Market Challenge during the JA Future Bound Event in Boston, Massachusetts 🇺🇸 from June 7–11!

Out of teams from across the nation, only 35 teams qualified and/or were selected to compete in this year’s event — an incredible accomplishment! 👏📈💼

While Alan Nass will be unable to attend due to a prior obligation, we celebrate his contributions to the team’s success and wish the entire group the very best as they represent Highland on the national stage! ❤️🖤

This morning was our third Highland Hype Crew welcome, and honestly… it was just really cool to see.

There’s something special about starting the day with music playing, fist bumps at the door, smiles, and people showing up just to help make kids feel good about coming to school. The energy was awesome, but even more than that, you could see students smiling, laughing, and walking in a little more excited to start their Thursday!

That’s exactly why we started the Highland Hype Crew in the first place.

A huge thank you to Cheryl Kauffman, Mary Beth Rozmus, members from Hills Bank, members from UI Health Care – River Crossing, and so many others I’m sure I’m forgetting for showing up and helping create such a positive start to the day for our students.

These mornings may seem simple, but they matter. And today was another great reminder of that.
