8th Grade 1st Annual Debates

1st Annual 8th Grade Debates

November 22, 2019

The first annual 8th Grade Debates got underway on Thursday, November 21. The final debates are a culmination of the month-long debate unit. During this, students have been learning about debate and working very hard researching and preparing for their team’s side of their debate.  Students were placed into teams based on the subjects they were interested in. A coin toss determined which team is debating for change (Affirmative) and which team is debating that things stay the same (Status Quo).   Debates will run through next Tuesday, November 26.  A BIG thank you to the parents who attended their child's debate on Thursday!  Your attendance and comments are greatly appreciated!!
