Highland Robotics Looking for Support on the Road to Worlds

Highland Robotics - Finger Tightans · March 26, 2018

The Finger Tightans are super excited to have been invited to the World Championships in Detroit, but we are in need of your help!

Attending Worlds is extremely important and means that:

  • We are among the top 5% of all teams in Iowa.
  • We are among the top 5% of all teams in the world.
  • For the first time in team history, we can truly say that we are a "world-class team."

None of these huge accomplishments would have been possible without the support of our community over the past eight years. All the way from our first year when the Highland Secondary Administration decided that Robotics should be a class, to now, when we are receiving donations from businesses and individuals alike. Washington County has always had our back.

Now as the 2018 World Championships is on the horizon, we call on you again. With your donations we hope to make a name for Washington Country around the world as we advance STEM efforts locally and globally.

Our current expenses for Worlds are:

  • $3200 - Hotel
  • $1500 - Pre-World Team Improvements
  • $1000 - Transportation
  • $700 - Miscellaneous Costs

The cost of going to Worlds is high, but the experiences and lessons we learn by attending are priceless. Any and all donations are appreciated.

If you would like to donate, please send check or cash to:

Thank you so much for your continued support!
