Highland Robotics Advances to Worlds

The Highland High School robotics team, the Finger Tightans, competed at the State Robotics Championship this past weekend. At the end of the event, they were fourth in their division and they were in an alliance that went as far as the divisional finals, one round from the event finals. They also won the Motivate Award for their work promoting robotics in the community, for which they earned advancement to the World Championships in Detroit, MI,  April 24-27. This is the third consecutive year the team has advanced to the World Championships. The team is made up of the following students: Matt Butler, Makala Cox, Samantha Cox, Emma Crossett, Lance Holden, Noah Holden, Lucas Holtquist, Nicole Lovetinsky, Jaden Schmid, Emily Streb, Alex Tompkin, Luke Van Schoyck, and Ibrahim Zayed.
