Farm Credit Services Awards Highland Ag Program $5,000

Highland High School was notified on Tuesday, January 23rd, that they would be receiving a $5,000 grant from Farm Credit Services of America. The grant application was prepared by Highland Agriculture Instructor, Duane Van Winkle. Funds will be used to upgrade welding booths and equipment used for instruction. This is Highland High School’s first year having their own Agriculture Program. Van Winkle assumed duties in August. The district will be adding an additional instructor next Spring. A check presentation will be scheduled in the near future.
