Mr. McDonald Selected for 2022 Iowa Bandmasters Association Young Conductors Workshop

Congratulations to Mr. McDonald on being selected for the 2022 Iowa Bandmasters Association Young Conductors Workshop! Out of a field of many applicants, our very own Mr. McDonald was chosen to represent Southeast Iowa. Participants in the Young Conductors Workshop get to attend the Iowa Bandmasters Association Conference in Des Moines on May 12-14. Then, they conduct and give a clinic to an auditioned honor band of high school students while Prof. Paula Crider, retired Director of Bands at the University of Texas-Austin, gives them feedback on their conducting technique and teaching methods. To be selected for the workshop, Mr. McDonald had to write an essay on why he deserved the opportunity and submit a copy of his professional resumé. Congrats on this great accomplishment!
