Congratulations Greta Piette

Greta Piette, who won a Gold Key Award at the Regional Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for her short story, "Silent Dancers," is a National Medalist and a Gold Key recipient. She has also won "Best in Class" for her short story. As a National Medalist, Piette will have the opportunity to participate in workshops in late May/early June.

National Medalist awards will be at Carnegie Hall, New York City, on June 9, 2022. In the past, this star-studded ceremony has included such special guests as Oprah Winfrey, Tim Gunn, Sonia Manzano, Tituss Burgess, Amy Schumer, Billy Collins, Whoopi Goldberg, and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Selections of student work are highlighted annually in Best Teen Art and Best Teen Writing, and a list of all National Medalists is included in the Yearbook.

As a National Medalist, Piette is eligible for scholarship funds.
